Réveillon do Ano Novo em Nice e nos Alpes-Marítimos: as proibições a conhecer sobre o álcool, os fogos de artifício e os deslocamentos dos menores

As New Year’s Eve approaches rapidly, festivities are expected in Nice and in the Alpes-Maritimes. However, to fully enjoy this festive night, it is crucial to stay informed about the prohibitions that govern the consumption of alcohol, the use of fireworks, and the rules concerning the movements of minors. Local authorities, aware of the security issues, are implementing several measures to be respected to ensure a peaceful New Year’s Eve.

Prohibitions on alcohol in Nice

For the night of December 31, 2024, from 6 PM to 8 AM on January 1, 2025, the consumption of alcoholic beverages will be prohibited in public spaces. Only the terraces of restaurants and licensed drinking establishments will be exempt from this prohibition.

The affected areas include the city center including Avenue Jean Médecin up to Place Masséna, as well as Old Nice, where it will be prohibited to consume drinks in public spaces.

Restrictions on fireworks

On the other hand, the sale, purchase, and use of entertainment fireworks from categories F2 and F3 are strictly prohibited. This measure applies to public spaces, near places where large groups gather, in residential buildings or nearby. All this aims to prevent risks to individuals and property.

Movements of minors

It is also important to pay attention to the rules concerning minors. Those under 13 years old will not be allowed to move through restricted areas without the presence of an adult. This measure aims to protect children during the potentially tumultuous celebrations of New Year’s Eve.

All of this is part of the decisions made by the prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes to ensure the safety of the population. Keep in mind that the evening can be festive while remaining responsible and respecting the measures in place.
